New Patients
An Initial New Patient Appointment
What an exciting time! First off, let me say that we are overjoyed with the prospect of you joining our family.
When you arrive, you will be taken to the patient room to discuss your dental needs. Following that we will take all of your initial x-rays and new patient photographs.
When those are completed, either Doctor Negelow or the hygienist will do a comprehensive evaluation to see how healthy your gums are.
If your gums are in a bad condition, you may not be receiving a regular cleaning. You may need what is called a full mouth debridement or even a more involved procedure.
If all is well with your gum tissue, we will proceed with a normal prophylaxis and then complete a TX plan.
Consultation Appointment
Depending on what is done at a consult appointment (the purpose of the consultation), there may be little to no charge or work may possibly be started at that time. Of course this depends on both yours and our schedules.
An Emergency Appointment
An emergency appointment is just that – an emergency. People do not know when they will have a toothache. Having said that, we request that you please call first and try to set up an appointment.
Once you are here as an emergency patient, an x-ray of the problem area will be taken and an emergency exam will be done. Depending on the outcome of the x-ray and exam, Dr. Negelow will discuss your options and you will select the treatment that suites you best.
